Dad,
I have always looked up to you for guidance. I never once thought of you as any less than my hero. I may not say it often, and I apologize for that, but you are one of the reason I am who I am today.
I apologize for not telling you every so often how grateful I am for you--We both know showing emotion really can be hard sometime, and I think I get that from you. But please know that every single thing you have done for me has never gone unnoticed. From the late hours you spent working to provide for us, to the endless hours you spent teaching us the value of life and family. I appreciate it all and i would not dare to wish that you had done it differently.
Thank you for teaching me the value of hard-work. Thank you for teaching me the value of persistence; that nothing will ever come easy. Thank you for teaching me the value of cherishing family, as you always reminded me you were less fortunate growing up. Thank you for teaching me to always stay humble, and to never give up in times of defeat. Thank you for disciplining me in the ways you did, although it hurt , it taught me to never disregard any rules set by an authoritative figure and to always be respectful and well disciplined. Now that am a parent i completely understand why you did it and actually appreciate it.
You're always in my thoughts, Your health and your happiness are both constant PRAYERS of mine. I pray you live long, long enough to see my great grand children. I look forward to your old age, gathering around the fire place as we listen to your old stories and sip to some hot tea as we laugh deep into the night.
Always know... anytime you want to give up-that you are the light that guides me through times of rejection, doubt, ambivalent past-time activities and darkness that can be hard to surpass. Your own strength is what provides me with the strength I need to continue down this unforeseeable path.You are my perfect example of how to do life, that no situation is permanent and i will always pull through stronger.
No matter the struggle you seem to be facing, you're there for me and I know you will continue to be there. You show me, this imperfect, young mother, nothing but unconditional love and support. I miss you terribly, now that i do not get to see you often.You are my hero. You are my dad. You are my first love. I'm so incredibly sorry I don't tell you enough, but I love you more than I can ever begin to express in words.
