Dearest baby,
I love you more than I thought I was capable of loving, and I haven’t even met you yet. I can’t explain the amount of love that is in my heart for you, I don’t think anyone would understand how great it is, I don’t think I can even fully understand it myself. I feel this overwhelming love and joy just for you, and it just keeps growing and growing.Though I never expected I’d be carrying you so soon, your Daddy, brother, sister and I are very excited to meet you in just a few days. It’s starting to sink in that very soon you’ll be here with us... We will have our baby in our arms and our home.
We never knew or imagined we’d have a precious baby with us just a year later after your sister. Your daddy and I definitely didn’t know we’d be having you this year! It’s crazy how quick things change, and how perfect God’s timing is. He knew exactly when to put you in our lives. The gift of carrying you in my belly has been the greatest gift I have received this year. It’s like having a little side-kick everywhere I go, the interviews you and I have attended and aced. Not to mention how I love feeling those kicks of yours throughout the day and mostly at night when you feel your daddy close by. I never feel alone anymore with you around, you keep me entertained by stepping on my bladder and doing circles in my belly. I love every movement of yours. I’ll never get tired of them... its sad its coming to an end, but i can not wait to meet you.
I wanted to write you this letter hoping that one day you will get to read it and use it as a constant reminder of the love we have for you, and find encouragement and reassurance when you may need it the most. I hope your heart stays filled with love, passion, and wisdom as you grow older. On days you find yourself filled with anger, hate, or sadness, read this letter and know that we love you, and want the best for you. You can always come to us on your bad days. We know how bad days go, and it’s important to have someone you can run to on those days. We may not be able to take the emotions away, but we will comfort you.
I promise to be the best mother I can be. I may make mistakes some days, but know that I am learning and growing everyday with you. I will put you first in everything I do just as i have your brother and sister, and I will always make sure you all have everything you need.
I promise to teach you and fill you with all the knowledge you’ll ever need. Your dad and I are both rooted in Christ and that is where we draw our wisdom and strength. We intend to raise you in Christ, we will read the word to you until you can do it yourself and pray for you all of your life. You will come to learn that life in Christ is beautiful, it has its ups and downs but it's all worth it.You have an amazing family, people who already love you so much and wish you nothing but the best. You will meet two amazing and very wild siblings who will teach you to get through their litu world and our home. Am sure they won't let you sleep for the first or two weeks. They will want to see you and touch you all the time, please come prepared and ready to be loved.
I promise to be honest with you, even when it’s hard, but I also promise to protect you. When there’s something you need to know, I’ll tell it to you no matter what, and if it might do more harm than good, I’ll keep it to myself. I’ll learn the difference and recognize it when need be.
I promise to document every part of your life with notes and pictures. I promise to write down memories for you that you may be too young to remember so you can hold them close to you forever.
I Promise to remind you of your worth every morning and every night, in hopes that you’ll never forget it.
Most importantly, I promise to love you with everything in me for as long as I live. I promise to show you what true love looks and feels like every day.
